On Friday March 20th, the Governor of Illinois issued a statewide order for all Illinoisans to stay at home from Saturday March 21st until Thursday April 30th to slow the spread of the coronavirus. However, the Governor’s order clarifies that businesses in the housing and construction industry are exempt from the restrictions and required to operate, being vital to the success of Illinois and critical to the resiliency of the state and its people. As a key supplier of goods and services to the construction industry, we are considered an “essential business” and have been asked to continue to operate our facilities.

Our primary concern is for the health and safety of our employees. Our entire office staff will be working from home during this “stay at home order”, and our factory will be operational with some significant changes to do everything possible to keep our staff safe. With phone coverage being our biggest challenge with our office staff working from home, we ask that any orders or inquiries be done via e-mail if it all possible (robs@epsplasticlumber.com). If a person to person phone call is the only option, please call and we will do our best to connect the phone call to the party that you need to talk to.

While we anticipate our facility to be operational, we may not be operating at full capacity as we seek to ensure the safety of our employees. We will continue to work to minimize delays in our effort to serve our customers during these trying times.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and will do our best to minimize any impacts to our customers, with our employee’s safety being our primary concern.

Bear Board is the perfect solution for many OEM or manufacturing applications. There are many benefits to using plastic lumber instead of traditional wood. With plastic lumber, you get a longer life-cycle and lower maintenance costs. It doesn’t need to be painted or stained and can be easily cleaned with a pressure washer. Our plastic lumber can withstand extreme environments because it doesn’t deteriorate, crack, rot, or splinter and it is impervious to mold and mildew. Plastic lumber does not leach chemicals and is not chemically-treated so there are no harmful effects on the environment.
